After being presumed dead on a botched mission to rescue a Jedi from a separatist Citadel, the search for Echo resurrected due to theory of droid analysis being that of Rex's old battle plans. With a plan set into motion, Rex tracked a transmission to Skako Minor and with the help of Clone Force 99, they rescued an injured Echo, turned into mostly machine but with his loyalty still lying with Rex. Echo then with his new cybernetics turns the tide of the war on Anaxes and joined the squad of clone outcasts, Clone Force 99.
